Cristy Trabadass is a boundary-pushing director, writer, and producer born and raised in South Florida. Her work is blunt, graphic, and heavily influenced by the youth subcultures in her hometown. She attended film school at Florida State University College of Motion Picture Arts. There she created a documentary on the South Florida underground scene that birthed talents such as; XXXTentacion and Denzel Curry entitled, Underground Tantrum, which premiered at the esteemed New York Hip Hop Film Festival. Her rape-revenge drama HABIT was selected for the Sundance Institute Short Film Intensive and debuted in various festivals around the country. Her thesis film BAKED GOODS, explored high school drug culture and premiered at Comcast NBC Universal's NALIP Latino Media Fest.

Cristy directs, produces, and writes, for clients such as; HBO, Strange Music, the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, and Rolling Loud Music Festival. In 2020, she attended Sundance as an Ignite YoungArts Fellow in the Emerging Filmmakers program and became a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers. Trabadass partnered with the distinguished Miami filmmaker, Jokes Yanes, actor Kerby Collins, and Rafael Castillo to create Smoke Stacks Studios. The partnership is currently developing various narrative feature films, television, and documentary projects.
